Deep tissue massage is a type of massage technique which uses deep pressure. Combining slow strokes and notable finger pressure, the purpose is to release the tension and tightness held deeply in your muscles and your connective tissues.
A deep tissue massage will typically focus on your primary areas of discomfort. This will typically be the back, neck, shoulders, buttocks and legs. However, it is also used on the arms, for example in the case of tennis elbow, or the feet, such as with plantar fasciitis. The increased pressure helps to alleviate any soreness or imbalance caused by injury or tenseness. Massage therapists may hold heated stones as they massage your body using Swedish massage techniques such as:

This treatment combines our body exfoliation with a relaxing Swedish Massage. A body polish prior to your Massage is the ideal pre-treatment for ultimate relaxation. This treatment uses a mineral sea salt formula to smooth away dulling debris on the entire body in preparation for maximum benefits from your Massage. A combination of exfoliating salts and essential oils are used to smooth skin, relax stressed muscles and soothe the senses. The mineral sea salt is applied to the entire body and wiped off with warm steamed towels on a heated spa bed for added comfort.
